Quite a few years in the making. My CB400F Yoshimura Racer So what brings me to modify a motorcycle that is 30 odd years old you might ask, it all started in 1975 when I was living in the uk and Honda brought out the CB400F, I had to have one. I still own the very same bike today. The cafe racer scene was all the rage and it wasn't long before I had transformed the little four into a yoshimura 460 with Rickman bodywork and an S&S performance pipe. 29 years later and working in the cnc machining of super bike parts, I decided to build a classic 400 racer exclusively for track riding. Due to the unavailability of special parts for these motorcycles a whole bunch of parts have emerged. Check out the products page. |

How does she go ? Well on maiden outing at the track. First thing was it was way to rich for my altitude and i couldn't get it to rev to it's full potential. The front forks were to hard. this was cured by lowering the oil level from 100mm to 145mm. fixed. Finally got a selection of jets and some leaner needles. Now it pulls like a train," very strong". Will be updating shortly with some dyno and performance specs as soon as I can. |
